Giving back has been part of Rohrman Automotive Group since founder Bob Rohrman started the Bob Rohrman Automobile Dealerships Foundation in 1986. Rohrman Impact carries that legacy forward across all of the group's dealerships. As CEO Ryan Rohrman puts it: We believe that a thriving community lifts everyone up. It's not just about selling cars; it's about investing in the places we call home.
Bob Rohrman built one of the Midwest's largest family-owned dealer groups over more than 50 years before he passed away in 2020. His giving named Rohrman Field at Purdue's Ross-Ade Stadium with a $15 million lead gift, funded the Jefferson High School Performing Arts Center and a tennis complex for Lafayette Central Catholic, and supported Meals on Wheels, Make-A-Wish, and local schools for decades. In 2021 he received the AIADA Lifetime Achievement Award.
So far in 2026, Rohrman Automotive Group has given $249,016 to more than 60 organizations, on top of nearly $3 million given all-time since 1986. In 2025 the group gave $1,236,826, including four signature campaigns: to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, animal shelters and rescues, childhood cancer causes, and the Indiana Donor Network.
For each signature campaign, Rohrman donates $50 for every new vehicle sold across all of its dealerships that month, then presents the total to that cause. April supports blood cancer research, June supports animal shelters and rescues, September supports childhood cancer, and November supports the Indiana Donor Network in memory of donor hero Kaitlyn Isbell.
In Greater Lafayette, Rohrman supports the Indiana Donor Network, the Humane Society for Greater Lafayette, IU Health Arnett Hospital, the Tyler Trent Foundation at Purdue, and Wabash College, among others. The group organizes its giving around five areas: volunteerism, education, athletics, cultural programs, and direct donations.
Yes. Alongside the dollars, Rohrman teammates have given 525 hands-on volunteer hours across 12 projects so far in 2026: packing meals with Feed My Starving Children, running blood drives, and refreshing homes and camp grounds across the communities the group serves.
Yes. Every Rohrman employee gets three paid charity days a year as part of their benefits. They can take a paid day to volunteer for a charity of their choice, and get paid for it. That is on top of the Rohrman Impact program.
